ASIA 337 (3-credits) The Korean People in Modern Times (1600 to present)
The Department of Asian Studies, University of British Columbia, is accepting applications for a part-time Sessional position at the Vancouver Campus to teach the course named above. The anticipated dates of the appointment are June 11 – July 27, 2012. The Sessional Lecturer for Asia 337 must have previous teaching experience and an advanced understanding of Korean history from the 17th century to the present. Candidates with a specialization in 20th-century Korean history are particularly encouraged to apply.
Salary commensurate with years of experience.

ASIA 258 (3-credits) Religion in South Asia
The Department of Asian Studies, University of British Columbia, is accepting applications for a part-time Sessional position at the Vancouver Campus for one term (September 1 – December 31, 2012) to teach the course named above. The Sessional Lecturer for Asia 258 should have a PhD in South Asian history, demonstrate an active research agenda and feel comfortable in teaching a large enrolment interdisciplinary course that closely examines linkages between South Asian religious culture and society.
